So you know how some games need a nintendo account else they don't work.
So I have a second hand switch which has cfw on sysnand and no nintendo account
The switch isn't banned but I want to make a nintendo account and link it
So what I want to know -
1. What are the chances that the switch might get banned before even getting the account linked
2. Do you think restoring my clean nand would be the better course of action (fw 6.2 but its now on 7.0.1)
I don't care if it gets banned but I would prefer if it doesn't
Thanks in advance

1) Very unlikely.
2) If you have a clean backup, restore it, update to latest firmware, link Nintendo Network ID and start with CFW again.

Yes the backup is clean and its from when I bought it and made it before doing anything else
OK so restoring the nand is the way I should go
Do you have a link to a proper restoring tutorial because I have seen many restore go wrong
I'll likely make a backup of the current nand too just incase

Yes, also make a backup of your current NAND. A restore should work fine from hekate.

There's an app to create a linked account. It will delete your old savegames so you need to backup them before using it. I can't post links. Just search for kefir in the homebrew forum
