It's not the Direct you were hoping for, but it's certainly something. Nintendo is bringing us 20 indie-packed minutes of livestream with their latest Indie World Showcase, giving fans an idea of what to expect while we await an official Nintendo Direct and a first-party lineup for the future. We'll be covering the stream as it airs so you can stay tuned to discuss all the exciting new announcements, or you can read the roundup if you're not able to watch live.
It kicks off with a game called Blue Fire. It's got 3D platforming and action. Developed by Robbi Studios, you explore "the void". Timed exclusive on the Switch, set for Summer 2020.
Baldo is a game inspired by Japanese action-RPGs, with visuals inspired by Ni no Kuni. Timed exclusive for the Switch.
I am Dead is a game about using ghost powers to explore mysteries. Timed exclusive on Switch, 2020.
Tic Toc Games is introducing their new 2D sidescrolling space shooter called B.ARK. You play as different animals and combine different parts to customize your character. Late 2020 timed Switch exclusive.
Cyanide and Happiness has a new game called Freakpocalypse. Another timed exclusive, summer 2020.
Developed by a Spanish game studio, Summer in Mara is an exploration game where you sail the seas, can farm, and craft in a 3D world. Spring 2020.
Quantum League is an online competitive FPS. You play alongside clones that can copy your previous moves to strategically win matches.
SWERY is up, talking about The Good Life, which is inspired by Animal Crossing. You have a debt you have to pay off, villagers to befriend, a mystery to solve, and you're cursed to turn into a cat or dog at night. Launches 2020.
Hello Games is back, with The Last Campfire. It tells an emotional story.
Pixeljunk Eden 2 launches this Summer.
Build a deck and play online or against the computer in Faeria, a card game where you can alter the terrain to change things up.
Eldest Souls is a survival game, set for Summer 2020, yet another timed exclusive for Switch on consoles.
Highlight reel shows Blair Witch, Ghost of a Tale, Sky which is made by the Journey devs, Sky Racket, Superliminal, Wingspan, Dicey Dungeons, and Bounty Battle.

Indie World showcase video highlighting a wide variety of indie games coming to
Nintendo Switch in 2020. This includes original platformers like
Blue Fire ;
Baldo; the next game from No Man’s Sky creators Hello Games,
The Last Campfire; and sequels like
PixelJunk Eden 2 and
Exit the Gungeon, the latter of which launches for Nintendo Switch later today.
