Nintendo Indie World showcase announced for August 7th

Nintendo has announced that it has an Indie World showcase scheduled for later this week. Around 15 minutes of indie-centric reveals will be shown, providing both new announcements and development updates on previously revealed titles. The Indie World stream will go live on August 7, at 6am PT/14:00 UK time.

More likely digital only, don't even dream of getting a key card
I mean, non-64GB Cart sizes *are* on the way, it's just going to be awhile

But at the same time though... these are Indies we're talking about, so it's super unlikely they'd even take advantage of the lower sized carts if given the chance, even more so since indie publishing famously prefer digital so they don't need a bigger publishers to get thier games out.

Macronix isn't even a supplier for the Switch 2, so this is likely just hopium.

Yes they are? Why wouldn't Nintendo work with the same company that was successful at making physical carts for thier handheld consoles as far back as the DS era and were responsible for the switch 1 carts?, even more so when Switch 2 carts have several similarities to S1 carts besides the changes made specifically to the S2 carts.

I just read up on this, they make switch 1 carts but outsource switch 2 carts/3d nand

So what he said is accurate for right now

The Switch is an absolute dream for physical indie game collectors so it will be a travesty if that changes with the Switch 2. Hopefully, they keep releasing both versions for a while so we still have the physical option.
