Hardware Nintendo ID mess up

So Nintendo really messed up not allowing people to be able to use th same ID on more than one 3ds family system. I have a 3ds xl Link Between Two worlds edition and a New Nintendo 3ds xl Pikachu edition. It sucks that I can't have access to the ID on both systems. Do I really need to create a new ID?

That is not fun. Oh well I'll dedicate the new one to just certain games and use the other for the Nintendo ID stuff.
