The link below links to an Anti Piracy part of the nintendo site, on this site, it shows pictures (and names!) of a few flashcarts, makes me think Nintendo is just promoting piracy, the way I see it is Nintendo is basicly giving you a way to pirate their system example: They have an R4 picture (you can see "R4" on it as well) then you google it, find a site to buy it (you'd be lucky to get a 1:1 clone ofcourse) and you now own an r4 and begin pirating. THIS IS JUST MY OPINION, please no need to flame me or anything.

Yeah.. I think it's just you. The way I see it:

"You want to stop piracy? Here's how you can help." And you can report people..

I know what you mean, I also see it that way but then again so do a lot of people but I also see it the way I explained before.

But isn't flashcarts legal if you have them for mutimedia and homebrew? (can't remember)
Yes but I'm guessing at least 90% of flashcart owners use them for pirating (The statistics aren't true, just a guess)

Yeah but If you can afford to buy a flashcart, a ds, and retail games then you could buy a more suitable and efficient media player.

I think that's for the parents.

Some parents don't know that their child's R4 is a "piracy device".
It's funny, I found out what piracy was from my parents...

Given that the big N makes most of their cash from console sales, promoting piracy may be in their best interest. They just have to go about promoting piracy by saying it's bad, if you know what I mean.

It's a good point and I totally get what you are saying, gifi4.

Jeez o'Pete! When was the last time Nintendo updated that Piracy website? Those old relics are all but deprecated by now.

I saw something on the news how people are getting free stuff, they're like, "People have been using to get free games, music, movies, and more. And it's highly illegal". So I went to the site and got so many free things. They talk bad about it, but it could not stop me. =P

lol. telling you exactly how to do it and saying it's bad is not going to stop most people. if anything it will make them do it, example above.

I know, it amuses me too. It's like they're only just finding out about those ones.
