+1 Harvest Moon: Sunshine Islands
I'm not the biggest HM fan, and I didn't care for the previous DS HM games. This one, though, feels like a bona fide Harvest Moon game, and though it's still got a few weird stumbling blocks, it's pretty damn addictive. Essential for any HM fan, I think.

Oh, and I forgot to +1 Sideswiped. This poor baby's destined to be completely overlooked, but it is totally an essential DS game, whether you're into racing games or not. It's just great, arcade fun no matter how you slice it.
