I'm gonna toss one out there that will likely elicit a few eye rolls, but after playing through quite a few hours of it, I found it to be a genuinely fun game to play:

+1 Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games (didn't care for the first game, by the way)

Well, my -1 for the game wasn't meant as a bash. I don't think its problems are minor, though, and that is at the heart of why I don't feel it's an essential DS game. As far as neat ideas to toy around with go, sure, it's on par with Electroplankton. So, I guess it depends on your perspective. As a game, it's not unplayable, but I don't find it to be much fun at all. Ask pretty much anyone who knows me -- I'm pretty forgiving when it comes to games, especially when they're free to play. I'll play pretty much anything and try to find the good in it, and though there's obviously entertainment to be found in Scribblenauts, it's very short-lived.

Its Japanese but its a Final Fantasy style Dragonball Z, Its SO freaking awesome!!!! >=O
I recommend it if you can put up with the Japanese, Some places are hard without a walkthrough though
