The OP has got Ninjatown all wrong. It's spelled Ninjatown without blanks, and calling a tower-defense game turn-based strategy seems a bit far fetched.

List updated and a few genres have been added to some games already on the list. If anyone can help that would be great, even if it's just a couple - If 10 people did that the whole list would be completed (or close to being done).

Metroid Prime: Hunters, Professor Layton and the Curious Village, Tetris DS and WarioWare Touched have all made the essentials list.

There have been more list jumpers in the lower categories (e.g. Disgaea, Rittai Picross & Soma Bringer) but I can't be bothered to list them all...

Just started playing it yesterday and I think it might be my favorite puzzle game I have ever played. It reminds me a lot of Solomon's Key. The puzzles start out simple, but by the ninth one I was practically pulling my hair out trying to solve it. Its amazingly fun and requires no Japanese knowledge from what I can tell. Check it out!

Well, I would say that some interesting game you could have are all the Pokemon games, they are really awesome. Not only because I'm a Pokemon fan its just that it drives you when you start playing you cant just stop playing it until you complete it.

I will also recomend everybody GTA Chinatown Wars, it is also a great game, long time to see a GTA game on DS it is amazing trust me
