Hacking Nintendo DS replacement battery at Radioshack

I bought a replacement battery for my DS at radioshack and i had to reconfigure all my settings. Is that normal? Does it work perfectly for everyone?

of course you would. soon as you unplug the battery, all your settings get erased from ram

ever see a PC that has a bad battery? every time you boot you have to reset the clock.. .same idea

tell us how the battery is, also remember what brand it was?

i remember buying some crap battery that lasted hardly any time like 1 hour yet it claimed to be better then oem battery. it is normal to have to reconfigure your settings when you change batteries.

just like 10 minutes ago it turned itself off but i think its fine now
