How would the touch screen be possible?

You could use the Wiimote to point, and it doesnt really need to be touch screen, you could just do something like press "A" on a Classic Controller instead of actually touching the screen.

Answer: probably not. Dual screen, mic input, and touch screen all seem technically possible on wii, but there is no point. Just buy a DS if you really want to play, cause playing a crappy DS game stretched to fit my big-screen would be a waste of time.

1) No one said it had to be full screen (borders?)
2) Thanks to WiiSpeak, the mic could be possible, or you could just have button combos to act as the mic. After all, the games use a similar thing (talking). Blowing into the mic, Talking into it, there's really no difference.
3) Touch Screen is possible. The cursor can act as the stylus.

Ok, so I guess it was just pointless asking, so you might as well just continue talking to each other, I'm going outside for a walk (might buy a DSi too)

If there's a Linux NDS emulator. Chances are you could port that to a Wii structure. Now just like any other emulator thats been ported to Wii, it's gonna take alot of time (and since there's alot of integrated peripherals in the NDS it could take a long time to get all those adapted as well).

But I'm sure well see an Alpha pop out somewhere in a few months (alpha - load a rom with very little or no control of the rom - let it run like a demo

), just like the first alpha of the Wii N64 emulator did.
Read the progress logs on the Wii64 project and you'll see how complex this is: http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Homebrew_apps/Wii64
Hell, even getting SNES ported for the GC was a huge trial and error process LOL - but it worked

Hurray for wii speak....

Just think of a DS game on a crappy TV, made even crappier because the screen would be divided in two. If you really want this, develop it yourself. It just seems so much more handy to buy a cheap used DS that you can actually use as a portable system.

In theory the Wii is powerful enough to do this
biggrin.gif

BUT, who is gonna do it?

imo it would take years and years (unless a quick port from linux would be possible) so I really doubt this will ever happen.

BUT

imagine someone did, would kinda be the coolest emulator ever, emulating the touch screen etc.

Xbox emu, no way stop posting things like this and even DC would be really really hard, look to the saturn emu to see what I mean.
