Why not just get a PSP?

I obviously already have one since launch

If it wasn't for homebrew on it, I'd have sold it long ago

If the PSP2 is the powerhouse they're saying it is, then it'll be an awesome machine for emulators.

I don't see this going over too well in the west.

AT&T contracts for a gaming systems, AT&T users can't play games with Verizon users, etc.

The 3G capability would let you access the internet to play with whomever is online, it doesn't matter which carrier they're using. I've played online games on 3G before without problem, and it wasn't only against those on the same 3G network.

no wonder they were so confident about the resolution... i guess for them, its about using quality equipment rather than adding new features though is quite good

If 'select' means Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, Canada, USA, the majority of Europe, and Australia, then yes you got it right.
