my nexus 7 2012 has charging problems, it takes about bit more than a day (YES A DAY) to charge... its not software related cause I've tried everything software to fix.

now, how can i pin point to which hardware is the problem? like an app of something which test the hardware.

my main suspect is the usb charging port. but a part of me thinks it could be the motherboard or the battery(but it doesnt discharge to fast) it self.

any advice?

yes its a an old tablet. but it will be a good thing to do for a while. and nexus 7 with the right setup still kick butts.

check this out what version are you using, check the battery stats, does it have GOOGLE PLAY SERVICES as the culprit?

no to answer your question.

but its not software its even like that with a rom without any gapps. ive tried every rom including stock stuff.

before it wasnt this bad. it used to take like 18 hours...

1. Check your charger, bad chargers (even stock one's) can make devices charge slow.
2. Turn your device off and look if it charge faster (to determine that is isn't a software problem).
3 Download aida64 and look for the battery stats.

on the voltage it says about 3.6

max 470mA
min 260mA

its good or bad?
That's very low for a tablet and it's not surprising that it takes a day to charge, you want to be seeing 1500-2000mA charge rate.

Do you have an alternative charger to try? If not it'll be a good idea to buy a new 2A /10W charger.

I remember having eventual connectivity issues with my Grouper with OTG with a flashdrive, eventually I had to bend the USB wire up to maintain a data connection. Replacing the USB connecter might be a good idea, or not. Might be too risky to bother. Replacing the motherboard, at that point just get another tablet; what if THAT part wears out as well? All I can offer is how much I despise the microusb standard. I've researched the reasoning/theories behind why miniusb a VASTLY superior connection was dumped, I've emailed various bastards at the USB Implementers Forum my thoughts on how the next connection should hopefully result in LESS catastrophic data loss.

Who is to blame for your current issues? Perhaps wikipedia offers a clue:

The micro-USB connector was announced by the USB-IF on 4 January 2007.[5][67] Micro-USB plugs have a similar width to mini-USB, but approximately half the thickness, enabling their integration into thinner portable devices. The micro-A connector is 6.85 by 1.8 mm with a maximum overmold boot size of 11.7 by 8.5 mm, while the micro-B connector is 6.85 by 1.8 mm with a maximum overmold size of 10.6 by 8.5 mm.[68]

The cellular phone carrier group Open Mobile Terminal Platform (OMTP) in 2007 endorsed micro-USB as the standard connector for data and power on mobile devices[71] In addition, on 22 October 2009 the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) has also announced that it had embraced micro-USB as the Universal Charging Solution its "energy-efficient one-charger-fits-all new mobile phone solution", and added: "Based on the Micro-USB interface, UCS chargers also include a 4-star or higher efficiency rating—up to three times more energy-efficient than an unrated charger."

So you want some fucking names? I'll give you the fucking names. Here they are.

I personally found the vita charger to be really effective on my tablets, give that one a try and see if you get better results. Trying different micro USB cables might also be a good idea if you're still having problems.

Did you also try so alternate micro USB cables? If that's the case you may have a faulty charging port. They are reasonably cheap and easy to replace if needed.

Yeah those charging numbers are loooooow. Grouper comes with a 5V 2.0A charger. I'd likely pick up a new one and probably a new microUSB cable to test it with, monoprice.com is a good place to get that stuff without getting ripped off. I don't know what the output is rated at on the other chargers you have.
