8GB and no microsd slot...
16GB would be the min, even then its pushing it

Yeah thats because Google is trying to push the cloud but imo its not that bad at all. With a media streaming app and a cloud app you won't need to worry about sdcard space but maybe worry about data usage. Then again you can now get some nice cheap unlimited data plans so the Nexus 4 is a pretty good grab at $199.

I would normally agree, but facetime is far from what it used to be. The Nexus 4 is one of the best price/value phones at the moment. While iPhones are great, they suffer from a lack of features made by other OSs.

Tl;dr: need a New phone? get a Nexus 4. It has quite a few features needed by everyone

Yeah but I do not care about any features. The iPhone 4 ( I am waiting for iPhone 6 ) is for me because of facetime with higher quality video for chat and it is perfect for sign language with no blurry at all. No smartphones have higher quality video chats at all. They are all the same as Windows: oovoo and skype so nah.

Also, Google Hangouts is in the process of changing from h.264 to an open, royalty free codec called VP8. It apparently has HD quality, but appears to be Desktop only for the moment. If it's coming to Android, I don't know.

It is actually VP9. Google announced VP9's finalization/completion during their last conference and how chrome (the os) now uses it by default. Support for it is slowing being added to all google's media related apps. Eventually their web browser will use it too. Google claims it uses around 50% less bitrate then h.264 but with the same video quality as h.264.

I would say well... pricy... however this price is a breaker.

If the iPhone 5 were to fall this low... apocalypse would be near.

Just buy it from the US or AUS store.

Sadly, shipping costs from the USA/Australia are so expensive, that it usually ends up being cheaper getting it from here.
Even if it is less expensive, there's the several months of shipping and no warranty, so you get my point.
Even shipping from the UK costs about 20 pounds.
Damn, I hate my country's postage. :glare:

Anyways, happy for the people who can get this cheaper. It's certainly a good phone.

Ah, yeah true.
Oh well... at least you're feeling happy for us then :p
