Hacking Next Firmware/system update - when?

Im getting a bit jealous seeing that most of the other cards have nice new firmware or system updates, it all seems a bit quiet on the g6 front.

I wonder when or If we will see an update and what will it improve or fix...

Personaly Im hoping they fix some of the homebrew problems, damit I want to play Lemmings !!!

Firstly you don't even specify which card you have (G6 what?)

And also, I have been told they have fixed download play, however this kernel will not be released now

handheldsources is not down (where the downloads are) I'm still using firmware 2.1 and it is perfect, all games work. Only thing I don't test is download play but....connects to wii and every game so far works on 2.1

You need to enter another screen to reach the games menu, which is useless if you only plan to use it for games

Think when the m3 real comes out they will put out firmware for the g6ds real to fix the download play? Or do you think because they want to profit on the new device they will leave it out of the g6ds real? As the m3 real seems to have better download play support.

the m3/g6 team has historically provided good support for all their products. i really hope they continue to.

Its already confirmed that the G6DS will use the M3 Real's firmware.

This is all I would need in a new update. Soft-reset compatability with Madden 07 and Tiger Woods 07 would be quite a good bonus as well.
