Misc News on banwave ?

Hello there! I have two quick questions.

1. Any news on a banwave from Nintendo ?
2. My brother downloaded MHGen on that shop a week ago (5 August) while on 11.7. If he updates on 11.8 will it be fairly safe to play online ? I have a legit cartridge of MHGen am I safe to play online with it ?

1-Not yet.

2-If you don't update soon you won't be able to play online, so even if he weren't safe, not updating would be restricitng yourself. Both of you can play online.

He still is on 11.7 and we played 2 hours yesterday and no problem. So I guess we will see!
