Sintech a Chinese computer and PCB accessories manufacturer just released a SSD adapter that converts the CFexpress B port the one used on the Xbox Series consoles to M.2 NVME.

With this accessory will be possible to use any regular size SSD 2280 to be connected and used "supposedly" on the XSX/XSS consoles via the Storage Expansion port.

The adapter can be purchased here:

At the moment the following SSDs are confirmed and tested to work:

"WDC CH SN530"
"SSSTC XA1/XA2"

The seller even provided an "installation video", showing how to insert the SSD into the adapter:

Is is believed that is future Microsoft might be able to release the software of the Xbox to allow us to use any SSD on it as the Seagate partnership deals is close to an end.

Has anyone already tested this adapter? Microsoft can certainly read which memory expansion is inserted or used. Is there a risk of being banned?

No ban, never had an issue with the adapters and I’ve used multiple versions of these, the issue is this statement

At the moment the following SSDs are confirmed and tested to work:

"WDC CH SN530"
"SSSTC XA1/XA2"

Which mean it’s no different than every other adapter, it only works with drives that come in the Xbox Series consoles, these models are expensive and sort of negate the benefit, if you part out consoles and the motherboards are toast it’s a good use of the drives.
