I'd say it very real, its even on WiiBrew.org. Looking forward to 4.0 being completely hackable. I wonder if this hack will work on those new "unhackable" Wiis

But supposedly this bug isn't fixed in 4.0.

third: the HBC is already installed...we need an exploit to install HBC on 4.0

first: I think that too.
second: That's not necessarily a problem. Maybe the exploit wasn't fixed in 4.0, and he's just demoing on 3.2.
third: Maybe he has already installed it thru the exploit?

Sure, suspicious, but we can't really rule it out because of that.
fourth: That "humorous" was added on 3 December 2008, as the Page History says, so it's not actually related to this

i hope ts a not a fake & it will be released soon getting back my other wii soon as for the exploit itself looks like he figured out the same thing marcan & team twiizers figured out did everybody forget about the bootmi video everything was on the sd card the lcd dongle was just to show you what it was doing wiibrew itself is highly influenced by marcan & team twiizers Anyways this probably means bootmii will be released soon looks like marcan & team twiizers have somebody breathing down their necks im no coder myself but i appreciate all the coders on the scene thx again

hmmm... looked like a bit of button-foolery around power/reset.... to go into preloader perhaps, preloader that's got HBC set as its auoboot dol perhaps...

Man everbody is afraid of april fools jokes around here. Maybe it is fake, or not. I have seen no evidience to say its bs.

1: He never said he was on 4.0, he said its not fixed by 4.0
2: He never said he was installing HBC with it, he hopes it may be possible to install it using this hack.
3: Clicking on the sd card and the wii running HBC means he ran unsigned code, probably through a banner/image hack or something. If he can make it run the HBC, it can probably run other things too.

Give the guy a chance. Its probably been removed from wiibrew to keep it out of nintendo's sight until its examined.
