Hacking New wii cant read backup dvd

Hi ppl.

In this christmas a friend mine bought one wii (leh-286...)
I followed the simplistic mod....everything ran well.
I tried to run dvd backups using neogamma r8....unsuccessfully....just give that error "dvd error read (1048)".

Im using cios rev 14 with system menu 4.2. Someone help me solve this error?

What can i do?

Using the Search is always a good idea...

Damm..this was answered several times.
Newer Wiis have a new Drive which won't play DVDs. No Way around via SoftMod. You could try to exchange the Drive with an older one, but this isn't worth the hassle. Switch to USBLoaders.
