Hacking new user EZvi questions

I just received my EZ flash Vi today. My first impression is that it boots and launches roms much slower than my old R4 did, but I can live with it. Anyways,
first off, how do I use the realtime save? I enabled it in the menu, but I don't know how to actually use it. Also how do I use the guide function?
Finally, I have heard that there are alternative menus available for the ezflash. If this is correct, mind throwing some names out so I can look for them?

Alternative menu's, i would not try them on your Vi. the Vi is made to work with the DSi, alternative kernel, does not support DSi for the EZFlash Vi as far as i know.
Dunno about the RTS, never used it on EZFlash V and Vi

RTS mode is only availbale in last 1.90 Open Betas. At this time it's OB7 that you can find GBAtemp download section.
