Gaming New to 3ds, need your urgent help...

Hi,

My nephew just bought a 3ds that appears to be a PAL version, because i cannot see US in country selection, the thing is that he also wanted Pokemon sun but the shop didn't have it so the shop gave him 2x $20 nintendo eshop cards and told him to buy it from the store.

He brought me his 3ds to do this for him but after reading a bit, it seems that's not possible right? since eshop are region locked, those US cards are a waste?

Just want to make sure before we go back to the shop lol

never heard of a pal version of 3ds

go to system settings > check your firmware version in the lower right hand corner of the top screen.

if it has a u in the end it's us region

Certainly. Mexico's U, not E. As for the old firmware, that doesn't really matter.
