ZOMG . I am getting this...

*downloads*

Now, I am gonna have fun with my SuperCard

I couldn't get it to work on my SC DSONEi. I put the files on my micro sd (SDHC version) and booted up the Supercard. It seemed to boot fine but then I pressed some sort of button and the list view changed to a simple folder name file system and every time I select a folder it freezes, even after rebooting and I can't get it to go back to the other view mode.

I have a very favorable veiw of this OS. I think once all the bugs are worked out this could be the best card on the market. Certainly the best DSI card.

So far it certainly isn't perfect, but in another version or two this is going to be pretty amazing. I like it so far, and am going to keep on using it. Hopefully some more display options get added and the cheats get fixed up.

Also, Dawn of Sorrow's intro video finally plays in full speed on a Supercard, so disk access in games is definitely faster.

I hate to criticize SC Team (given they continue to have basic support for their Slot-2 carts), but they just can't seem to shake the "hillbilly" look & feel about their OS, no matter how hard they try.
I just would have thought with all of the competition, manufacturing similarities & locale, they would have been able to refine their OS to be more sleek & sophisticated

To use a motoring analogy, its like they continue to be more focused on what's under the hood, rather than the luxury & comfort for the driver.

joedanger,
is it normal that we must enable "cheats for each game" and "cheats on the upper right menu"?
The cheats option in the menus doesn't seem to be really important. In our tests the cheats were working even with that one in Off, and it also didn't change the default settings in the rom, so probably it might not be active or is used for something else.
Some days ago i filled a report about the cheat system since it's kind of redundant (too many things to do just to enable the cheats) and also lacks some useful options, so it's probably being considered.
I don't really know how does it work technically since most of the times we just received the betas and we had to figure how to make them work and the changes in it, so we didn't have technical information about it, it was mostly experimentation and trial and error.
Also made an initial report with some of the problems that you commented about the cheat engine, so they can start looking at it. But usually the admin takes a couple of days to answer.
If you find more information about the problems in the cheat engine like you mentioned before (or if you can contact the other user that might know it better) please send me a pm. It would probably help to fix this faster.

The main problem is that it was a bit rushed. I was of the idea that the OS needed more time to be perfected, since there are still bugs to be solved and functions to be added/fixed. But a lot of users already wanted the OS and in the end they decided to please them.
I would consider this release like an open beta, since it still needs some improvements that hopefully will be in what we could consider the final product.

I tested the new GUI on my friends SuperCard DS Onei and all I can say is:
Its a major improvement just like M3 Sakura was.

Pros:
Faster
Better Looking
More Features
Better Compatibility
No more .scc cheat files

Cons:
Some cheats were not working when I tried

Well I tried it out, but as it is, EOS still is not as good as M3 Sakura in my book. And I agree, the interface still looks a little second rate or "hillbilly" as our learned friend above put it. The RTS still has sound stuttering problems (on Mario 64 DS). Opening a folder with lots of .nds files seems to take even longer than before. They fixed the cheat display but broke the cheat engine

But at least it is a big first step for the team to move away from that ancient version of moonshell that they have been chained to all these years. The downside is that we lost native media support.

I also wonder what is going to happen with the built in emulators for the new card. I know we won't get GBA emulation on the current cards, but can we get some classic GB/GBC and NES emulation built into the OS? Or perhaps some kind of "plugin" support like in M3 Sakura?

All in all, I think this is a promising open beta release and I can't wait for the next update.

Well, I have an EZ Flash Vi with 8GB MicroSD and I have downloaded the english version for SDHC DSONEi.
I renamed the .sc file to a .nds file. If I select it, it boots, but stucks on Loading...
What am I doing wrong?
