Wonder if they ever fixed that issue were you had to cycle through your games in order for your last save to be properly written. They also mention connecting the SKY3DS+ directly to the USB of your PC with some included cable. Not sure if the cable plugs into the card somehow or if it's just a generic 3DS-to-USB dongle.
Into the card, definitely. There isn't a port on the 3DS that would allow you to update a card in Slot-1

Whoops, I meant if they have some kind of port on the card itself to connect directly to USB, or if it ships with a dongle that you insert the card into.
Ah, aaaaah, that's what you meant by 3DS to USB dongle.
Well, they did mention a cable, so if it was an USB dongle, it wouldn't have a cable.

We'll probably have to wait and see until we have more pictures of it, see if it has a port on it to connect a cable. Otherwise, an USB dongle would be good too.

Actually we have a picture here

So I'm not sure if they're just covering up the port with their thumb, or if there's really no port on the cartridge itself.

I can't seem to access the Sky3DS website anymore either, gives me a Microsoft IIS thing. Oh well.

I think they may be referring to the video that was posted in this thread a few pages back.

3rd cart, lol.

Sky3ds team are laughing all the way to the bank.
...and how many Acekards were released? 3, if I recall correctly - Acekard RPG, Acekard 2 and 2i. What about Supercard? DSOne, DSOne-i, DSTwo, DSTwo+... shall I continue?

Don't forget that acekard 2i had 2 hardware revisions and first version couldn't use latest updates.
Exactly. Some of us still remember that in the beginning we actually had to use PASS-ME on the DS since Slot-1 carts didn't even exist, others think that effective hacks just come on a silver platter. I think the new Sky3DS+ is promising, it fixes many of the problems previous revisions had, it breaks the latest AP, it's finally upgradable (a much-requested feature) and has a couple other knick-knacks that I won't describe here right now. Needless to say, GBATemp will be dropping a review of this cartridge as soon as we have one fully tested - stay tuned! ;)

True, but they weren't all released within the same year. :p

That being said I'm pretty interested in it tbh, don't really have the money for it atm though.

When was the red button one released?
I see a review from Nov. 2014, then blue button in Jan. 2015
