I couldn't agree more, from the screen shots it looks to be an awesome game and not only that, its based on a Arthur C. Clarke novel. Thats win right there.

First, players will be able to customize their ship. There are over 150 design models, and another 150 possible crew members. The innards of your vessel are modular and can be rearranged at will.

And the first thing I think about is whether I can make a ship that looks like Red Dwarf or not.

Can you really believe it? 3D is not for NDS, that's for sure (see Assassins' Creed), but... if they say so.....

Actually some games work really well, the ones that have time spent on them unlike AC.

Well, AC works well, AC is cartoon-based, mind you.

But this game here is an RPG, The best 3D RPG game I can remember (in terms of graphics) is FFCC: RoF, and it DOES easily recognized as made for NDS, the model is pretty good, and slowing doesn't occur too often

The first thing that caught my eye in the text was about the graphics, which I won't very sure about

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker did a real good job with it, with no stuttering or anything, bright vibrant colors, and even the models didn't look blocky. (Of course, they avoided using models for anything important, which helped a great deal. Sprites + 3D works very well if you put work into it -- just look at anything by Nippon Ichi.) That was cartoonish again, though...

Also, Hoshigami Remix. Even on the DS, it's still the best-looking strategy-RPG on the system, and playing it made me disappointed that things like Luminous Arc and FFTA2 aren't really 3D.

Hopes it will get released in english.

BTW. Are there any other SF RPGs for DS?
In English? I'm not one hundred percent sure but I know they exist in Japanese, like the two Super Robot Wars Taisen games. Emblem of Gundam are the immediate ones that come to mind. And there is bound to be one amongst the Simple series. All I play from there is Soukou Kihei Gun Ground though.

And yeah, Its got my attention thanks.

Wow! Now, that's what I'm talking about. When you're basing a game on a Clarke novel(la), now you're talking. Plus, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the dude in the bottom pic one of the ex-Clover boys? This will be a game to watch for sure.

There's no question this game would ge great if it is half as good as it looks. But also, don't forget that Stargate:Worlds for PC is just around the corner. They even have applications out for Beta. Man, oh, man if only Stargate:Worlds was coming out on DS, many of Earth's problems could be solved!!!

I was under the impression that Platinum Games was almost all ex-Clover guys.
Yep and some from Capcom too, a fantastic pedigree and great talent behind this.

Awesome, we are so being spoiled for RPGs. Sonic Chronicles (or something like that), Dragon Quest IV, V, VI and IX, Final Fantasy IV (probably V too), Black Sigil, Sigma Harmonics, World Destruction and now this. And those were only the cream of the crop.
WHOOOOO!

Oh yeah? And where are they? And are they all in English? We're not -that- spoiled, imo. Especially concerning the classic console rpg experience.....
