Just restored my iPod and jailbroke. What are some essential apps? I don't want to slow down my device at all. Only thing I have right now is ncsettings. I was looking into springtomize 2 but it looks more like customization and I'm not sure if it will slow down my device

To keep your phone running fast, i made a list of things you can do. Oh you already found that. Haha. Use that list. The biggest speed up i noticed was from deleting unused launch daemons.

If I install stuff then uninstall it later are the daemons it makes still there or do they uninstall with it?

Installing Apps and other things dont install daemons. Daemons are there from the start and have to do with the actual iOS software.

Actually, some things from Cydia might, but most don't. (On my iPhone, I see launch daemons from My3G, Protect My Privacy, and SBSettings.)

Zephyr by chpwn is an exceptionally well-designed and useful tweak. All the tweaks on Ryan Petrich's personal repo ( http://reperti.ch/repo/ ) are also worth looking into. FolderEnhancer is also an amazing tweak, but it's fairly memory-intensive.

I was looking at Zephyr but some people said it drained their battery on their device a lot, and when they disabled it it started going normal.

I've never had issues with it, but that's just anecdotal evidence. I can't promise you that Zephyr doesn't cause battery drain issues.
