I think it is a Firmware restorer if I remember it right.

restores firmware of Supercard DS One

1. Insert DSONE into SuperMate.
2. Insert the SuperMate into USB port.
3. Run SuperMate.exe program.
4. Load "SuperCard Firmware.bin".
5. Press "OK" button.

in some country's in europe there is new legislation & your not allowed to sell the supercard with firmware on it so its blank

the supermate puts firmware on the cart

So that's why, luckily Sweden doesn't have such laws^^

But I'm sure it also could be used as a firmware restorer...
