This sure looks like a shiny Poké Ball Vivillon on the GTS to me. So guess I can't ask for Vivillon on the GTS or use Wonder Trade at all since I don't have this device to restore the save to a point before obtaining the illegal Pokédex entry. And since it's very unlikely that Game Freak will make a shiny Poké Ball Vivillon event...

So? Datel reads this thread. If they care about "not ruining online" like they claim (since they still don't offer nature/IV modification codes), they should prevent this.

You're very close-minded. Can't you think that maybe people don't want hacked Pokémon on their game? At least with all of the other hacks, they can be released without affecting your game. This one, however, will always leave a permanent record in your save file. So to avoid it, those people will have to avoid Wonder Trade forever, and never ask for Vivillon on the GTS.

People want to be able to choose how to play their game. This takes that choice away.

wondertrade takes that choice away, what about the people who want to receive a shiny pokeball vivillion....that would take their choice away.....just stick to trading with people you trust if your worried about leaving a permanent horrific battle scar on your cart

Yeah I gotta agree with Hozu on this. We all know here that the Pokeball Vivillion has to be non-shiny, in a Cherishball, and fateful encounter. If someone didn't know how to spot fakes, gets that Vivillion, mass clones it, and gives them out... that would ruin the online trading community.

Even Hozu is going to have a hard time finding a legit one if what I said did happened.

I'm against people giving out illegal Pokemons in general... unless the person knows it's illegal. If they don't, they'll clone and give them out... it'll spread like a virus in the GTS.

Once you see the form, it will always be registered in your Pokédex, regardless if you keep it or not. Easiest way to see this is to obtain something you don't have in the dex, then release it.

This is what ruins online play... you just ruined someone's entertainment for playing the game how it's intended to be played. Datel saying not wanting to ruin online play just screwed up with the Pokeball Vivillion code. They should've just made a Wondercard for it instead.

They have exclusions for certain codes.
ex:
You can't have >718 for the Wondercard code.
You can't use the unshiny code on a Hoopa.

Not hard to make the shiny code not work on Vivillon (form#) or the formchange to (form#) not work on a shiny Vivillon.

If it's a Wondercard Vivillion, at least it's in a Cherishball and fateful encounter so it won't be an obvious fake...

Plus, you won't be able to deposit in the GTS if it was a fateful encounter.
