I suspect this will end up like Arceus, being distributed directly instead of giving away the item that activates the plot.
I don't see nintendo allowing us to get an event legendary with whatever ball we want and with no ribon...

Considering that info was posted almost a week ago on Reddit, that 'website' is really behind the times. Plus it didn't even link to any source. Bad journalism?

Anyways, the event only activates if you have a Fateful Encounter Volcanion. SciresM obtained one through a hacked Wondercard/savefile that was signed Powersaves before they patched the save-edit exploit.

Taken to the Power Plant doors it doesn't unlock anything (neither will a Fateful Encounter Klefki), so it's likely just a direct giveaway event. Additionally, we have already bruteforced all of the ingame location text out, and there's no 'secret' areas. Hopefully the actual event takes place in the next games and all of this is just recognition for downtraded stuff.

It was, however, patched on Datel's end a few minutes after it was posted on PP's IRC by just checking the AES MAC of your save (it must be valid now)

Datel patched it fairly quick after we went public with it.

Basically.. We were able to resign the AES MAC by sending the save to Datel's server.. thing is, we weren't able to fully decrypt/encrypt things a few months ago, so nothing ever became of it.. until SciresM bruteforced a chunk of code and lucked out.
So he was the first to try it out

*not trying to blame them, they have personal lives and I totally agree with them that there are more important things than adding gen6 support to Pokecheck.

I'm not saying the opposite, I'm just saying their project is far from being finished and that, considering the speed they're working at, the events will most probably be released before gen6 support is added to pokecheck.
