Hacking New Nintendo 3DS and Flashcarts

Please correct me if I'm wrong... but if you have a Gateway 3DS you don't need a R4 to run DS games and emulators, right? It can run almost everything...

So if I decide to purchase the latest Gateway I can emulate both, 3DS and DS roms?

Would I be able to boot .cia through a gateway?

You'll have to use the Gateway blue card because it's a cheap R4 card.

Yes for CIA.

But you should just install a CFW and buy a cheap R4.

Yeah I have a .cia of Four Swords Anniversary Edition that I would like to boot on a 3DS Flashcart if possible.

Along with play some 3DS Backups and Nintendo DS Backups as well.

What is a reliable market to purchase Gateway cards? Assuming it will run in 3DS Mode.

You should just install rxTools and buy a R4i gold.
It will be really cheaper for you.

Anyway, if you want a Gateway, I don't know about US resellers, sorry.

The only thing about install rxTools or any CFW on my n3ds is,

1. I would first need to wait for a stable/safe release to downgrade my Sysnand to 9.2.
2. The fact that I'll be running a 9.5 cfw on my Emunand and be limited or restricted to online features doesn't sound appealing to me.​

I wouldn't mind trying out a 3ds Mode Flashcard I can use to run .cia as well as cfw (if possible).

You still need to be on a compatible SysNand FW in order to use the latest Gateway Ultra though correct?
