No not a First Timer just wanting suggestions and feedback on a fresh install and setup.

CFW Installation (Notes)
- Best Site Ever <3 https://3ds.hacks.guide/
- Fallow the guide to your model of 3ds and exploit.
I do suggest reading and re-reading the steps as you execute the exploit and installs.
- You'd need a crazy strong magnet to for easy installation. I recommend a rare earth/neodynium magnet - you can commonly get them in hardware stores for cheap or even dollar stores. (Luckily the card I ordered is specialized and came with one)
- The buttons are easy to press on the 2DS XL, but I recommend having patience. Sometimes it takes a couple of tries.

CFW Installation:

- You'd need a crazy strong magnet to for easy installation. I recommend a rare earth/neodynium magnet - you can commonly get them in hardware stores for cheap or even dollar stores. I found mine at a local Japanese dollar store - 5 pieces and they are pretty good. (Note, they chip easily if you bang them together.)

- The buttons are easy to press on the 2DS XL, but I recommend having patience. Sometimes it takes a couple of tries.

Homebrew Apps:

- I like Freeshop (there's the .3dsx version/.cia version)
- 3DSident (because I like checking the IPSness of my screens and everything else)

Homebrew Tools:
- Amiibo Cheat Tool (just for Smash/modifies amiibo/amiibo chips for Smash)
- TikSweep (I tend to play with weird things, this cleans up excess things on my system)
- JKSM (JK's Save Manager) - I like using this, but the new recommended app is called Checkpoint, but whatever, it does the job.

Hadn't thought about where to get a magnet. Luckily I have some high power magnets on my fridge, about the size of a dime. (a little smaller actually) Use them to hold up open chip bags, and to hold them close lol.
