It's really convenient I suppose, but for the price I'll lose the portability.

To be blunt, the Macbook Air was a terrible idea to begin with. Now Apple has made it thinner, expensive, and just aesthetically pleasing. So basically, they added some new paint to it and said, "voila!" Definitely not buying this for only $999.
