Hi Guys,

I'm new and I'm just looking for a little bit of an intro into this community. What to expect, the do's and dont's. If someone can guide me in the right direction that would be pretty neat.

I have a lot of questions but I would like to avoid asking questions that are answered all the time, I've used forums before and I realize how annoying that gets.

Thank you, I'll give that a read.

I tend to use google to solve most of my problems, but when it comes to the issues I've had with Wii modding I often get re-directed to this forum and everything I read is way over my head. What's the best way to learn? I feel like every time I search for an answer I just end up with more questions.

Awesome. Thanks a lot guys.

MythicalData right now my current issue is finding a good controller to play SNES games on the Wii with. I have a classic controller but I hate having the wire connected to the Wii-mote, and I find the GameCube controller very awkward for SNES games. I tried a wireless USB controller, but that didn't work. Right now I was wondering if a GameCube to USB adapter would work or if one exists. I have the reverse of that, but if I could plug a USB device into a gamecube port I would be able to wirelessly play SNES games (which is my current goal on the Wii).

I was having an issue with being able to rip my gamecube games onto the USB stick, but it turned out it was the USB stick itself that was the problem.

Do you have a bluetooth dongle for the wireless controller? also I'd just modify a wiimote into a custom shell tbh

I don't, I bought a controller from amazon (Xberstar 2.4ghz wireless controller) which is made for SNES/mini, but also comes with a USB dongle to work on the PC. I could get it to work on an emulator on the PC, but didn't respond when I put it into the USB slot on the Wii

If I had a bluetooth dongle and a bluetooth controller (like the 8bitdo mini) would that work?

The idea of modifying a WiiMote into a custom shell sounds way out of my skill set (which is virtually zero compared to what some of the people on here seem to be capable of).
