Hey you guys
lecture.gif

I just bought the gameboy micro, I already have some games for it but actually I'm looking for a flash card for it.

I dont want to spend a lot of money on it. I saw some on chinese sites and stuff and sites like dealextreme but dont know which to pick.

Things i don't want with this card are:

- I don't want it to stuck out of the gameboy. Just a good size card.

- I want lil bit of space so i can put a lot of games on it.

and

- Is it possible to play Gameboy color games on it than?

Thx

for reply

PS sorry for the bad english i m not from the usa

If you're not from the USA why did you set your country to usa?
But anyway, supercard sd is a good gba flashcart, although as far as I know it does stick out a bit.
And I don't think there's any gba flashcart that can play gbc games.

If you want your games to save, then yes.

That's not necessarily true. Many GBA games have EEPROM or Flash saves (which you need to patch) but many have SRAM already. GBATA is a good patching program, and tells you if you need patching.

I like the EZ4, it was my favorite GBA cart and didn't stick out.

I'm using my old M3 Perfect Lite with my GBA Micro, they work flawlessly together. 100% compatibility so far, no complicated burning game roms to memory procedures, etc.

Got no idea if those are still made though, I had mine lying around collecting dust since I got myself an M3 Real ages ago, and figured it would work with a GBA Micro when I got my hands on one of those a few months ago. Perhaps you can find a used one if they aren't.

What is SRAM patching? could this be the reason why my GBA Roms on my iPlayer do not save without me going back to the iplayer menu before shutting off?

The only GBA flashcart that had support in playing GB/GBC games without the use of an emulator was the FlashAdvance and Flash2Advance with the use of the GB bridge. None of which is sold anymore.
Aye; it's a shame they removed the appropriate hardware from the Micro to allow native GBÂ execution. Which would mean awesome stuff like this still wouldn't work on Nintendo's newest GBA version. Silly so-and-so's.

Well, no; as far as I'm aware, you're actually supposed to go back to the menu before you shut the DS off. I think it's a similar thing with Lameboy, in that it works with a virtual save in RAM, and then you have to manually make it save to MicroSD.
