Gaming New game wont load

Hi

I have Cooking Guide - can't decide what to cook. I am using a NDS Lite with an Edge modchip which is running v1.37 of its OS. All that is on the memory card is the game, gamesave and edge files.

The problem is, if i start the game from scratch it loads, lets me do stuff with the game and save it. When I come to use the game again it wont load past the first screen(which for this game is mobiclip video codec logo). I then have to reboot. The only way to load the game again is to delete the .sav file but it means starting from scratch which is not ideal because i lose all my user data.

Any help appreciated.

Are you sure you use a clean rom?

I assumed I was till you mentioned it, is there a way to be sure, it just that i have tried several roms for this title.

did a bit of reading and discovered a program called rominator. ran that and checked against a database on a site called Advance Scene and discovered that it was a clean rom.
