from what I've heard, it was patched on 8.00. I don't think the webkit exploit works on 8.00 either.

Still the problem is that new webkit I can tell you from having both 6.72 and 7.02 it needs a lot of development work
But still will be nice to have some game from higher fw

also, gotta remember, both vita and ps4, as well as ps5, were all done by the same lead engineer, Mark Cerny. though, I've heard the ps5 is riddled with bugs.

speaking of konami, Cerny went on a sabbatical with Kojima a few years ago. I don't remember where they went exactly, but they're like bffs.

The joke is that I haven’t played my PS4 since way before 5.05. I had to upgrade to 5.05 when the exploit came out. There wasn’t any homebrew out yet to install either. I haven’t touched my PS4 since then. The original Knack is probably the only PS4 game I’ve played through. Played the camera/gameroom (playroom?) thing with some kids. That’s it.

When a self-hosting package is released for 7.55, I’ll upgrade, then maybe actually buy some games. My local shop has 2 for 1 on PS4 games since the PS5 came out. Even saw a couple of PS4 games for $1.99!

EDIT: So to reiterate, the real joke is that I haven’t had a compelling reason to play games on the PS 4 at all, much less upgrade (except for the 5.05 exploits). So for me there has been zero reason TO upgrade. 3DS and Switch have kept me quite happy with my gaming needs. PC, occasionally, with the Oculus Rift.

and... back port Cyberpunk? Really? Why would you want to do that to yourself? I’ve heard nothing but bad things on all but PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. Just wait until you can get your hands on a PS5.

I haven't actually played a game either ever seen an exploit for 5.05 came out. I have my saves intact, but I haven't played anymore of any games I owned. I thought about selling the games I dumped, but I think I might be able to get only around $50 for all four or five games I own. lol

Old PS4 games are piss cheap now. I’ve seen BOGOF on most old sports and even things like strange brigade and Anthem. (Less than £5 for 2 games)

I’ve personally been buying sale PSVR games and playing them on 8.03

Haven’t played PS4 much since getting PS5.
