Hacking new cheat wont work

I used a cheat editor for the r4 but the cheats won't work. how do i fix this problem?

just get yourself r4cce for editing purpose
use the forum search function and type curley r4cce guide

Make sure the Game ID is correct. If your R4CCE crashes while editing a cheat file, it means that you have to create a fresh new cheat file in order for it to save properly. You can't edit a cheat file that's already been compiled as far as I know.

i don't get you on You can't edit a cheat file that's already been compiled as far as I know.

if you are saying you can't edit the .dat from cheats.gbatemp.net then the answer is you can edit.
you can edit every single usrcheat.dat you find

I can't :S. It crashes every time I try to open an already compiled usrcheat.dat. Well, maybe that's just me then.

first of all what is the editor you are using

i assume you are using the cheat code editor from r4

if yes, i'd recommend you to try the r4 cheat code editor we can get it from yasu's website
