AceKard is without doubt THE best cart for DS roms. No if and buts about it.

This is just awesome news...I'm so glad that I waited for them to improve the software, before buying. (Saves me having to send it back for the free upgrade!Â

Even if DS-X were to bring out an SD version, it would still never be able to achieve the 100% compatability that Acekard has NOW, thanks to it's AKFS. Some people just don't seem to understand how innovative it is.Â

Oh yeah and can we stop the downright lies about Acekard patching roms from the DS-X fanboys...it doesn't!!! Check your facts before posting.

What makes the Acekard great is 100% compatabilty. It will only ever get better in time as they improve the software etc, unlike the DS-X which can only go downhill.

PS- DS-X stable? ROFl They are still claiming compatability for games that play but don't save!Â

They can post firmware updates for the next year, and it will still NEVER achieve 100% compatability. Just wait and see. I bet Acekard will be running on an Apple PC long before DS-X ever figure out how to update their firmware on an Apple computer!Â

PS- When is Acekard going to get it's own forum? Didn't the DS-X have one before it was even out?

note: ds-x only download play card atm. Compatability seems to be alot easier than fixing that

im not trying to bash the AK, because it does have 100% compatability, and that is quite a feat. however, the AKFS is crap. having to watch where you put a file because of fragments is crap. the software itself is crap. its chinese support means that it will almost never come out to the mac. they all pirate windows over there. having to choose your savestate sucks.

knowing this, if you still go AK, good for you.however, you cant blame people for going with something that is less hassle, and compatable with EVERY operating system.

i'll take those over nitpicky game problems any day

it's way easier to improve the software and OS compatibility than fixing every little thing that goes wrong on ds game (*cough DS-x cough)

if you look into the future, how many ds games are going to be released? how may problems will arise? they can't even fix the one that we have now yet alone those that are going to be released in the future, not to mention you got stuck with 512mb, while microSD gets cheaper...
