Gaming New Banning Wave Started!?

Banned people must be using some bizarre rips. If I still don't get banned past NXE official update and all, I'm getting 1 year live gold =P

played all the leaked games like gow2, fable 2, fallout 3 some weeks before they got released. i think that break my neck.

While I am down with modding handhelds due to the overwhelming amount of shitty games not worth 45 bucks ( I Still buy key titles, i will be buying CT DS), I don't feel the same way about consoles, almost every game I buy is a decent investment , and while still over priced, most of the time you get your money's worth (COD 4, Gears 1&2 etc)

All I have to say to those of you getting banned for having modded consoles is, good give it to ya.

I knew the consequences of modding so if I get banned I will just be like "meh" myself. I wasn't really planning on playing on live anyway but when I realized how many 360 games revolve around patches I started having to go on live.

To be honest I am curious on how this will play out as I have only games I backed up myself so if I do get banned then it will mean it really has nothing to do with this fake releases.

I've yet to play CODWW ,Saints Row 2, GOW2, or Fallout 3 however I just bought the first two so I am kinda nervous to pop in my console. Then again since I have 20 old games I haven't gotten achievements for (or even played for that matter) I will most likely play those first.

Regardless now that I have a year of live I hope I get some play time with it because I myself am not one of the guys who will run out and buy another console just for live.

It seems my friend got taken down but he knew the risks. While he could do without it I do not think he would have done anything differently.

Near launch 360, returned once. vad6038, latest stuff across the board. A bit more cavalier however when it came to using good dumps.

Whether I give him my key (me paying for online play when there are so many alternatives, you have to be joking) and we unban or not is a different matter (those chips are a bit expensive, especially with the dollar-pound conversion actually returning to normality a bit).
Failing that he starts using the PS3/PC instead or we sort out a throwaway 360.

I'm just trying to find out what Microsoft is banning people for. Maybe they have found a new solution to seeing if people have flashed drives?

I'm fine today no ban, but I do worry every time I turn my 360 on.

Early games definitely.
Non stealthed, we checked on ABGX for nukes (for good reasons, not just dupes) but after burning we forgot all about it and never checked again (which given stuff appeared within a day at most of it appearing in the wild...)
His drive was a bit iffy and we did not check the burns/isos.

Anyhow it looks like I am to fix mine (RROD, managed to cowboy fix it with some washers, some carbon and my blowtorch as a proof of concept but I need to do it properly as it did not hold), mod it and trade for his.
Just working out the specifics as I type this.

Prime was not meaning to cause offence. I think he just meant that if you flash your xbox, you have to expect to maybe be banned sometime & when (or IF... i'm not banned yet , haha!

You forfeit your right to use xbox live when you flash the console. I've accepted that & although I've not been banned (as of 2:00am GMT - 14/11/08) If I do get banned, I'll be all like *meh* I flashed so I expected it....

Not paying £50 a game >>> xbox live.

Man, I think playing them early may have had something to do with it. I played damn near everthing early lol. I got banned and the friend that did co-op with me got banned too lol. Some say CoD5 rip from Allstars was screwed up. I definitely played that early. Oh well, time to go play Mirrors Edge and Banjo on my banned box
