So apparently there is a new AI Call Scammers are doing, making it seem Legitimate.

You know, Law Enforcement can get you for Piracy, looking up things you shouldnt, even Monitor you if you say certain things together in a Phone Call, Email, you name it. Even VPN can't protect you, depending on what you do, because they can (at least the way I see it) Trace it, and possibly bypass VPN, or at the very least show a Court Order to get the Originating IP Address-Location. But yet Scammers are hard to Trace-Track???????

I don't answer phone calls from numbers I don't recognize or from places I'm not expecting to get a call from. Example, every 2-3 months the past year or two I seem to get a call that shows up as being from a bank I have an account, and I let it ring through to voicemail or Google Call Screen, and they say hey, this is such and such from this bank looking to speak with Sicklyboy, please call us back at <phone number that I think was in fact that branch's number>". I'm not expecting to get a call from that bank. I have no reason to get a call from that bank. If there's something important going on with my account, they have my mailing address, they can snail mail me something. And in the case of this video, the government knows where I live too, they can mail me and they can find me.

I also have been periodically driving into my parents that 1) I'll never call them asking for money, 2) scams are designed to sound urgent to make you act without giving it a second thought, and 3) staying on the phone with someone you KNOW is a scammer just to waste their time still increases the likelihood that you're going to fall for a scam. Those motherfuckers are slick, they know what to say.

Also, the cops are never going to give you the option over the phone to pay a fine in order to get out of arrest/a warrant/etc. They're just going to show up and arrest you.

Also, the government can not utilize itunes giftcards, robux, or bitcoin (at least for now 🫩 ) except for maybe as some cheeky holiday stocking stuffers around the police department. If you ever hear that on the phone that should make the alarm go off in your head so loud that the next town over will think there's an air raid coming.

Exactly. My Grandfather almost got Scammed, because he did not know what was going on. Almost gave away his Information until my Uncle stopped him, yelling, "STOP! GET OFF THE PHONE!", then explained it to him.

There were even the Reports of Scammers making it look like they are Movie or TV Stars scamming People out of Money. A older Woman a few Years ago apparently lost Thousands of Dollars thinking she was talking to Chris Hemsworth (Thor), and recently a Woman lost her House to a Scammer pretending to be a Soap Opera TV Star. Especially love these Scams...
"This is the IRS. Your Account has been Suspended due to Suspicious Activity on your Account."

IRS will NEVER call you either, or demand Payment via Gift Card or BitCoin. They will only ever send you a Notice in the Mail. But if the Scammers did that, they run the risk of Fingerprints. LOL

Law Enforcement Agencies seriously need to make an example out of these Idiots

So if I got this right, they try so hard to crack down on pirates yet they cannot do shit about AI scamming?

@Viri - Exactly. No Gift Cards AT ALL. They will Mail you something and YOU Contact THEM using their ACTUAL Number

@KokiKitsune - Pretty much. They will catch you if you Pirate, or try to Rob places like say...a Bank, or a Business (in excess of a certain amount which would be a Felony). But Scammers....dont hear much about that in the News. They should be Tracking these Idiots, making it publicly known about them, and making an example out of them, so anyone else with think twice before ruining someone's Life.

Example - Someone steals your Identity, gets Credit Cards, or does a Shopping Spree Online, or wherever. Who do they go after? You. Your Credit is messed up, and you end up paying the Price. Well maybe if they had made sure the Criminal was who they claimed to be.....like Requiring a Photo ID (copy made of it in their System), and-or Requiring them to go into a Branch or somewhere to get a Copy of the ID AND a Fingerprint.....just a thought.

That's how the operate, imagine receiving a call and demanding for numbers sent to your phone. The moment you send those numbers you are gone, that has been their ways among others as you stated already.
I believe there should be like a kind of organization dealing with these menaces however we should always stay cautious and at alert of the environment we found ourselves.

their getting ballsy comitting 3 (or more) felonies just over a phoney failure misterminor i rathe take my chances eithway I'm automatticly omitted from JD due to both physical and mental illnesses (I mean i'm crazy memory issues bias against republicans and rather see people suffer for shits and giggles) on top of i can sleep at night after giving an innocent man a death sentence kind of mentality

in spain you can get a call and a robotic voice says "Infojobs: Your CV has been aproved, add me on whatsapp to talk about the job offer"
Infojobs is indeed a real and trusty site for job searching here in spain, I don't know anymore details about this scam since I just ignore it but I get a call or 2 once or twice a week
