Hacking New 3ds xl Red verison?

I am thinking about buying a New 3ds xl red version that came out in american few days ago and i want to know if it is on 9.2 out of the box just like the Australian new 3ds.

Yes it does have some models with the 9.0 firmware but with the red n3ds there have been a few versions that ship with the 9.4 firmware. There is a firmware thread somewhere that lists the different models.
