i pressed update in setting after i got a notif from nintendo.
the new version is 4.1.0-8
Supercard DSTWO confermed WORKING

Already did before the update, you could enter races. Nintendo said you wouldn't be able to go online so I don't think this is the patch or has been leaked early.

I doubt that's the reason, that was what 4.0.0-7 was supposed to do.

Someone sent me a Swapnote saying there was an update, but I didn't think it was true.

Just updated. Took a few seconds. Wonder what it's for if it didn't fix Mario Kart.

Apperently, it "gives you the ability to update your 3DS without having to input your parental control pin."

Just got the notification - haven't updated yet as I was worried it was another 'flashcard blocker'....
seems like it doesn't so probably update later today when I get home

Most probably a patch of some sort, whether for the shop or DLC (or whatever) we'll just have to wait & see

From what I'm seeing, it's more than likely that Nintendo's programmers found a security hole and are plugging it. That would explain the general speed in which they issued the patch and how it downloads and installs so quickly.
