Hardware New 3DS Top Screen Scratch

Hey everyone.

I was at a party last night and volunteered my 3DS to be an extra controller for Smash. When I got it back, it had a nice deep scratch on the top screen.

How would I go about fixing this? Is there a protective lens or is this straight on the lcd panel? Can I buy a replacement?

There is a plastic cover for the top screen, you will have to heat this up and then remove it.

If there is damage to the lcd under the plastic i am afraid the only way to change that is to dismantle the whole unit, this then turns into a much more difficult project.

Ah, okay. I found one. Unfortunately, the only place I can find it is Aliexpress, and anything on the will take months to get to me.

Aliexpress or ebay .. It will take a while to turn up but then that gives you time to read up on how to replace, tutorials.
