I was playing some FE:Awakening recently, and I noticed that my Speakers made some sort of cracking noise. Its only the left speaker, the right speaker is fine. Is there a way to fix the left speaker?

open it up and see if the speaker has been popped in or something, you migh be able to fix it otherwise you'll need to find a replacement and know hot to solder

Are you running a n3ds forcing o3ds games to run on higher speed?

Does it happen on other games?

Does it only happen on max volume?

Does it happen with headphones?

I saw a speaker replacement with a ribbon cable and 2 speakers. Can't I just replace them?

Are you sure that was for the new 3ds, Also do you have an XL or standard N3DS? You have to be careful you get the right one as they're not cross compatible. But a ribbon would be an easy fix.

On the Homemenu (which has the Xenoblade theme on it and it plays the main theme) it cracks alot, but I tried it with super mario bros 3 and it doesn't crack at all

Sorry, I just can't get over the title. :rofl2: I can't get the picture out of my head of some guy freaking out because regular noise is coming out of their speakers. Also, good luck replacing those. I speak from experience that replacing the speakers can be a pain in the ass.

it is very quiet, i have to put it close to my hear to hear it.
this is normal?

Yes, it is normal
This is caused by the amp that drives the speakers, some other electronic devices with speakers do this also.

Just got an N3DS XL few days ago and i´m a bit worried because of the noise it makes while switching on / off.
Not sure if its the speakers, it makes like "klack" a few seconds after power on and while powering off.
I hope its nothing like this "popping sound and turning off" i´ve seen googling around.
(This doesn´t happen on my nor my sisters 3DS XL.)

Is this how it should be?

Edit: Unfortunately i already downgraded, installed a9lh / luma and did a system transfer...

Yes, the n3ds is in working condition, the noise is just twice as loud compared to the o3ds.
