Hardware New 3DS or Old 3DS for Homebrew/Hacking?

I have a Zelda New 3DS XL with all my games I use for bought games and stuff, and I have a copy of Cubic Ninja I used to use on my Old 3DS which I sold after I updated the firmware to transfer to my current New 3DS XL. Now I want to buy another cheaper 3DS for homebrew/hacking, should I go for a OG 3DS or New 3DS for this purpose?

    That's one of the issues I have with ecchi stuff recently, it focuses too much on the sexual aspect, not the comedy effect.
