Hardware New 3DS or New 3DS + Capture Board?

I'm thinking of getting a New 3DS and get the Nintendo Switch somewhere in 2018 instead.
However, I'd like to start capturing and making videos aswell, as a let's player for 3D Land, MK7, NSMB2, ALBW, Ultimate NES Remix and more.

What are the chances of getting a 9.0-9.2 New 3DS?
Is it best to buy a bundle or buying it seperated?

Now for the most important part with the capture board as it requires buying online:

What are the chances of the New 3DS not being on 11.0+?
Is it even worth it, since NTR CFW can already do that, but still not sure about the game compatibility.
I personally think it's not worth it, but I just ask anyways ^^

What games are pretty decent FPS compatible with NTR viewer?

There's still a fair chance of finding a non-updated N3DS, and there are some ways of increasing your chances. For example, if there's a store that doesn't specialise in gaming hardware and they have the N3DS on sale with reduced prices, chances are that the consoles have been on the shelves for quite some time and they want to get rid of the stock, so they will be running an older firmware like 9.0-9.2. At least, that was the case when I bought my N3DS, which came with 9.0.

As for bundles, the firmware varies. Bundles with older games generally have better chance of getting a lower firmware, but I can't remember if the N3DS actually comes bundled with any of them (I know that O3DS does, but that doesn't support NTR CFW 3.4). For instance, when I bought my friend a 2DS bundled with Tomodachi Life, it came with 7.0 installed! Not sure if N3DS/Tomodachi Life bundles exist though.

Unfortunately I haven't owned a capture card and can't offer any answers about those.

NTR is compatible with pretty much all the games. There are some caveats though, when NTR CFW is running the console won't be able to awake from sleep mode if you close the hinge, and if you boot a game after running NTR, you won't be able to switch games without manually rebooting the entire console. That said, video streaming has worked with all of the games I tested, with the exception of Xenoblade Chronicles. It's said that some N3DS-exclusive games will run really slowly when using NTR streaming because the streaming feature uses N3DS-specific hardware that conflicts with the game's hardware requirements.

Some games are also designed to disconnect the console from your router, which will interrupt video streaming. So far, I have found that the following games do so:
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D
Pokémon X/Y
Pokémon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire

NTR has a function that will remedy this, however that function will prevent online gameplay in said games. For Pokémon games there's another workaround, which is to run NTR, run Pokémon, connect to Wi-Fi in-game, then start streaming.

Most games will stream at ~30FPS but the quality of the stream will depend more on your router hardware than the game itself. A small number of router models have been reported as not being compatible with NTR streaming at all, but we haven't quite worked out which models and why. This is an extremely rare case, though.

I have tested the following games and managed to achieve 30+FPS when streaming:

The router I use is a TP-Link Archer D2 AC750 with the N3DS connected to the 2.4GHz band and the PC connected via Ethernet. I also turn off all other devices using the same router when streaming, as this frees up more bandwidth.

I'm pretty sure that you can't get a capture hardware mod for N3DS, but I don't know. Personally, just mod it and use NTR CFW...

Eh, it's okay. The footage doesn't lag or anything, it is just at 30fps... It's only the bottom screen that is awful...

Honestly you are better off with a capture board mainly for "Stable Frames" NTR are for those who don't mind the random fps drops, but at the same time don't mind the quality aswell. Having a solid connection is also required which is the biggest con.
Get a capturre board and you'll get both quality and perfect frames its worth the $230 investment especially with a 3ds on CFW. I currently have the capture board for my Old3DS, but may actually get my N3DS a board soon both of them are running on CFW.

If you plan to buy 1 Do Not get it from other sites other than the actual makers . I see people ripping off folks on Ebay stating its a New 3DS with a Capture Card, but its really just NTR and they are selling it overpriced at $400+ just b/c it has CFW
