Hi GBATemp,

I've imported a N3DS from AUS via eBay. It has yet to arrive, though. I have a question, will it work with games bought in Germany? It should, considering both are in the PAL region...

PAL = TV format and has NOTHING to do with the 3DS. Get your facts straight.

It works just fine. I have a n3DS set to my own country, and the eShop and everything works just fine.

ontopic: thanks for the quick reply. where did you get yours if i might ask?

Got mine @ Play-Asia. Ordered ~6 days before release, shipped 3 days after release and arrived four days later.

Of course? People in Australia speak English you know
yeah i know that, but when i went to the AUS amazon, the box of the n3ds was in japanese so it made me paranoid. i went to ebay instead and ended up paying 300 euros (+shipping). sad days.

Fair enough. I'm sorry for the assumption.

Oh my god. excellent idea. I'm gonna prank my little brother now. (I got a JAP N3DS as a gift but had already bought the AUS N3DS). I'm gonna put the JAP one in my AUS box and wrap it up. nyeh nyeh nyeh :creep:

There is no such thing as a German version of Pokémon X/Y except for the language option on first start. I think you can reset the language to English if you wipe the save.

Dude. There's no reason at all to be that hostile. The topic OP asked a question. You could've answered it without being rude.

Anyway, you don't have to worry about German games not working with the AUS N3DSXL. All European (PAL) games work fine on Australian 3DS consoles, and vice versa. I received my N3DSXL about a week ago, did a System Transfer from a European console and everything was fine. I think a few people online have said that you should set your 3DS systems to have the same regional settings before you perform a System Transfer, but that should be fine considering the AUS 3DS systems contain the same regional settings options as European systems do.
