Hacking New 3DS CFW with 11.12 without anything ?

Hello guys,

I hope it´s not the same question every time. But i read different answers about this topic.

Can I (nowdays) install a CFW at a New 3DS with OFW 11.12 with Seedminer + BannerBomb3 + Fredtool without a:

• Flashcard
• another 3ds
• without a game from the shop

?

I don´t want to use a flashcard because i want to play maybe online.
I don´t want to use another 3ds because i don´t know anybody with a 3ds.
I dont have a problem with buying a game from the eshop

I read the Tutorial at 3ds hack guides (for CFW with Seedminer) and they dont use any of these 3 things. (Flashcard, another 3ds, or a eshop game)
I thought I need for getting a CFW on the newest 11.12 Firmware either a Flashcard, another 3ds or a eshop game. But in the tutorial they don´t say anything about these.

Is it still danger to play online with a flashcard ? Is CFW only still safer for playing online?

I´m very sorry if this is a stupid question.

You already answered your own question: The guide tells you that you don’t need to buy anything. No flashcart, no paid DSiWare. “Seedminer + BannerBomb3 + Fredtool” is completely free.

What kind of flashcart? The expensive ones for 3DS games (Sky3DS+, Stargate) can be a problem for online play when not using private headers – installing 3DS games as .CIA files with custom firmware is fine with online play.
Flashcarts for the DS mode are safe. They essentially show up as a retail DS game in Activity Log and nothing bad will happen with your 3DS concerning online.
