Hi guys,

I've received a new 2ds xl,I'm kind new to it, and with so much offer and tutorials online sometimes we got lost when choosing a R4 card.

R4 3DS Gold Pro

Do you know if this one is compatible with the new 2ds xl?

Flashcarts with the website r4isdhc.com written on them are compatible with every ds/3ds. I own one and it does well its job, but people here at gbatemp usually recommend R4i GOLD 3DS RTS because it is very easy to use with ntbrboot and it also compatible with every rom out there. However, imo, the flashcart that you stated is really cheap (got mine for 1€) and it is OK.

    Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

    @Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.
