oh yeah! Look!

The Americans need a reference so that they can relate to a game!!

I can just hear it now ....... the developers/publishers are in their meeting and someone says

Person 1 : "So what are we going to call this game in America?"
Person 2 : "Hmmmmmm, well, it is a Ninja game, and it has a cop in it, so we will call it NINJA 5-0 after Hawai 5-0!"
Person 1 : "mmmm, sounds good but what about the Ninja? He doesn't look ANYTHING like Steve MacGarret!!"
Person 2 : "Ah, dont worry about that! The Americans are too daft to notice"

;-)

The title screen is more beautiful on the US version

Anyway, I love this game, it's far more better than the piece of crap named "Revenge of Shinobi"
Shinobi would want to revenge for what they did to him!

Revenge of Shinobi was a genesis port, while Ninja 5-0 is a game made for the GBA... So... It figures that the Gba game would be better, especially since, ROS is showing it's age.

Man, if I would have known this rom wasn't released, I could have released it to the public first!

This game has been out for at least 3 months over here in the USA.
Since the Ninja Cop rom was out, I thought Ninja Five-O was already released too!

You non-Americans must not understand the five-o reference dating back to the popular Hawaii 5-0 television show years ago. As Ronin points out, it has become a popular slang reference to cops.
I thought it was because Hawaii was the 50th state

edit- oh hang on, I see what you're saying. Its become slang SINCE the
tv show. My mistake, sorry.

This game is pretty rockin. I love the Shinobi meets Bionic Commando gameplay. Good stuff all around.

And yeah, the name NINJA Five-0 is a lot cooler sounding (Just like the US dubbing of Spike in Cowboy Bebop) Yeah gratuitous Bebop references...

You CAN find the answer if you look hard enough.
