I have Netflix US and it has a pretty good wide range of television shows but the movies suck. I know people that have the Canadian Netflix and the shows suck but the movie selection is way better. If they could combine the two, it would be very good.

btw, Netflix is losing Showtime as well. No Dexter anymore.

REDBOX! Invest in their stock while it's still low.
I can only see it going down as Downloadable services rise in popularity.
streaming services*

and redbox has a streaming service, as does blockbuster and bestbuy, but they're all irrelevant compared to netflix

Redbox does not have a streaming service atm, they're working on one. When that's launched, their stock will go up again considerably. Also with Netflix charging users $8 more for movies & streaming, more people will turn to Redbox for DVD rentals.

I purchased a few shares when it was at 27, it's at 48 now.

There are people on this Earth that still aren't subscribed to Netflix...?

Well yeah, people who aren't in America/Canada.

I don't like Redbox. That $1 a day thing is neat and all, but when I'm on top of it, I can easily get around 20 to 30 movies a month from Netflix via mail (two out at a time). Plus, Netflix gives me the gift of convenience. I watch it when I want to.

The streaming, I use to find obscure masterpieces. I rarely watch Starz Play movies, so w/e. It amazes me how childish people are though. Starz may have made up maybe 15% of all of the instant stream content available. Their content was constantly expiring and being replaced too. Not exactly a big loss in my opinion. I have had no issues with streaming except for it going down once that I can remember for about an hour in the past two years. This reminds me that I need to unlink my friend's 360 since he lost the ability to use his Xbox online for the time being (internet issues and such).

Anyways, yeah, I like Netflix. Comparing it to the limited ass selection of Redbox, or the high prices of movie rental places, I find Netflix to be an incredible value. If you got it just for the streaming, you're using Netflix wrong.

I recently moved from the States to Europe and I'm still able to get Netflix trough a Proxy Server

Last I checked , Starz is still working, at least for the moment, but I couldn't care any less.

Netflix streaming still has like every Star Trek episode so fuck y'all.

Plus the TOS episodes look remastered or something, they were exceptionally good looking for a cheesy 60's sci-fi cult classic.

And This.
I'm currently halfway through the first season of TOS ( the episode where Kahn made his appearance ! ) and I couldn't be happier

, it looks and sounds better then ever, plus I can't even remember the old episodes anymore, as I watched them as a kid...
As such content is very difficult to get in Europe AFAIK, I guess I'll stick around for quite a while and keep my Netflix account.

There is still a ton of content on Netflix... I cancelled my cable over a year ago and I don't miss it in the least. Streaming only account.

The only thing that bums me out about losing Starz is that I won't get to stream Party Down next year...but that can be watched via other means...muah...ha...ha.
