do nes emulators check this or is it even a part of the rom? I patched a few roms, and it doesn't display this info. I was unable to find a checksum repair utility for nes roms (only snes and genesis).

edit: I meant to say in the thread title that I'm looking for a way to repair bad checksum roms.

NES ROMS don't have one internally, indeed few things did until somewhat recently. The ines header (something originally made for an emulator but generally used by everything, even found in some Nintendo sourced emulators which amused some. https://wiki.nesdev.com/w/index.php/INES ) does not either.

Can't rule out an emulator one day restricting itself to known ROMs with a known check but for the most part it is arcade emulators that go there, and possibly some N64 emulators.
